About the group:
This is an advanced adult band for musicians who have high school or college level musical experience.
Wind Ensemble - Concert March 15, 7:30pm at the JACC
Rehearsal: Saturdays 10-noon Salvation Army
Dress rehearsal: Friday March 8, 7:00pm at the JACC
Concert week rehearsal: Wednesday March 13, 7:00pm at Salvation Army
Rehearsals are scheduled for Saturdays, 10am at the Salvation Army church.
The complete instrumentation of this group is limited to provide a good balance of instruments, but will be tempered by the quality of the players:
- Flutes: 4
- Oboes: 2
- Bassoons: 2
- Clarinets: 6
- Eb Clarinets: 1
- Bb Bass Clarinets: 1
- Alto Sax: 2
- Tenor Sax: 1
- Bari Sax: 1
- Trumpets: 6
- French Horns 4
- Trombones: 3
- Bass Trombone: 1
- Baritone/Euphonium: 2
- Tuba: 2
- Percussion: 4 (or as needed)

There is no formal audition process to join the band. If you are interested in playing with the band you are invited to come to a rehearsal and sit in with the band. Membership in the band is contingent on approval by both the section leader and the conductor.
You may be asked to play the following for the section leader and/or the conductor:
- 2 major scales
- Sight-read one of the pieces from the rehearsal
- Play from an except book for your instrument or play a prepared piece of your choosing.
